Techniques for working with the breath, tongue and pulse diagnosis, and facilitating flow of Qi (Chi, energy) through the meridians will be explored, and students will begin developing treatment strategies to help their clients regain energetic harmony, the foundation for health in the Asian bodywork system. Various models of assessment will be explored, including the five element and eight parameter systems, and students will also be introduced to the textures of Blood, Essence, Spirit and Fluids. This course is ideal for the student interested in specializing in Asian bodywork and/or Asian medicine in general. The Zen Shiatsu II program is offered in the Summer semester on Monday and Friday afternoons from 6:00-10:00. The instructor for this course Rachel Johnson ABT. Our next Shiatsu Therapist program date is to be announced in the near future. This exciting new course will fill quickly and therefore early registration is recommended to insure a place in the program. This course may be taken alone, or as part of the 200-hour Asian Bodywork Therapist program.
